I like to imagine them getting their pictures taken in a photo booth like those at parties. The first/left one is of Stella and Dylan when they become friends. I love their friendship/their dynamic.  It's a lot different from Stella's friendship/relationship with Duke (which is on the right/second one, of course). Yeah, that's Duke, not Fierdan. Stella and Duke still had their happy times. They can smile together. It's okay.

Stella and Dylan. My blue powered children. Blue, my beloved color. <3 ... Stella has stars because of course she does. (Remember when I called her Twinkle for several years? Haha, those were the days. 😆😬). ... This was the closest to how I picture Dylan's hair. Unfortunately, it makes him look pretty feminine, which he and I don't like. How unfortunate. Also, Dylan is around a year older than Stella.

I like designing Picrews with Dylan giving the middle finger. It reminds me of him. Why is he so grumpy? idk lmao, probably because of Fierdan (sorry Fierdan). Fierdan has coffee (let's just hope it's not salty black coffee... *alludes to that old skit*). And, of course, Ryen... (symbolism, symbolism *starts crying inside*). The suit (trying to keep it together and give off an act of professionalism to others). The bottle of poison (being the same as alcohol since alcohol is like poison to Ryen... both deadly, both toxic... *alludes to Ryen's struggles in recovery from alcoholism* god...).

Actually, getting into this on a post with Picrews of my characters could be helpful. Hmm...

Alright, so, these pictures are the up-to-date versions of how I visualize them.

Yeah, that should be enough. 

So, my point is...

The story universe takes place in a dystopia version of Earth in the distant future. Are the names and labels we use today be used then? Or is this just another world entirely? What is it? I don't know! 

But to explain it, I'll use the terms we use. To make it easier, I guess. 

Anyway, because of their... shitty life circumstances, they never really grew up learning about their family. They don't know about their family tree, their heritage, their ethnicity, their culture... they just don't know. Maybe C knows more than her children... maybe, no certainty in that. In other words, they have no culture. They don't know about any of that stuff. And it's sad. It's sad not knowing.

It's sad that they didn't have any caring adults to teach them and engage them with their... non-white half of their identity. I keep imagining other characters and other people in general just seeing them as white kids or kids with no culture. (idk how to articulate anything, sorry!)

C, Ryen, Fierdan, Dawn— they're all biracial. Here's a breakdown:

C: half white, half (how it is in our world) of East Asian descent.

Dawn: two-thirds white, one-third of East Asian descent. (which country? idk).

And to get to the brothers, I would have to get to Z (their father). Z was also biracial— however, he had some, uh, views aligned with white supremacy and hated the non-white half of himself. He hated how his father (a white man) fell in love with and married a non-white woman. Z erased that half of his identity, only identifying with the white side of himself. But of course, he couldn't just delete the other half. So as he grew older he came up with the idea that his races/ethnicity of himself and his offspring would be the new "superior" or "dominant" version of humans. Messed up fascism rhetoric, perhaps? Z... *sigh*

Z: half white, half (again, based on how it is on our world) of Southeast Asian descent. (from where? again, I have no idea, I just have that general area of the globe in mind. maybe Filipino?).

And so, for Ryen and Fierdan: half white, quarter of East Asian descent, quarter of Southeast Asian descent. 

But they know nothing about those cultures and their ancestral roots. They only start getting interested in learning about their family background beyond their parents (Ryen in particular does a lot of research on Z and C) several years later, probably starting nearly a decade after their ages in stores 1-2. And it's just sad how their parents ruined how they see themselves and their family history because they (Z and C) were such bad people. And of course, that has nothing to do with their racial and cultural identities. It unfortunately distorts how Ryen and Fierdan view themselves and people like them. Yeah, uh, that's another can of worms. So complicated. Why does my brain imagine them like this? I don't know. I just can't see them as simply being white. aaaaahhhhhahha

I used to believe Ryen and Fierdan would also be part of Central or South American descent, but over the years, I couldn't imagine it that way as much. But for some reason, I can imagine Fierdan being able to speak and write in Spanish and Latin. Haha, like the literary and artistic prodigy he would've become if his life was better and he didn't become severely messed up.

So yeah. That's my poorly explained rambling. Felt like I should explicitly say it. Just in case people were wondering "Why do you design them on Picrews looking the way they do?" Well, that's why. It also affects how they sound in my head. I mean how I imagine their voices. Not that much, but it does play a small part. ... Now I'm thinking of Fierdan singing at his heavy metal/rock concert being the famous singer that he deserves to be (what a dream). I love his voice... uh ?? lmao-

Anyway, Dawn is the most white-passing out of them, which makes sense, but she's also biracial. Ok, thanks for coming to my poorly explained TED Talk. <3

7 years of existence (blog anniversary)

Hi, I have returned. And uh......

Today's the anniversary of this weird blog. 

It's been 7 years. I've had this blog for 7 years now. Omg.

Well, uh, I quickly drew a crow a few nights ago. Since it was Draw a Bird Day. And yes, that is a thing.

I haven't done art in so long.

Another Fierdan drawing wip + something about Duke

This drawing is from a few weeks ago. I know I haven't been here lately. I feel like sharing it now.

I wanted to draw a picture of long-haired Fierdan in Cincernum (aka black goop void) with a hand over his face while looking cunning and menacing for a while now. 

So I did that.

I tried using a reference, but Fierdan looks different from that guy.

I know the body proportions are off. I don't know for sure if his ears would be visible or not; I know the quick sketch of his ear looks small. I probably have to adjust his lips as well. Something about them looks off to me.

And of course his hand. I imagine this version of Fierdan to be very skinny, basically just flesh and bones, so his hand and fingers are supposed to look thin and bony. He also has long, sharp nails. 

Then add long, unkempt black hair, and there you have it.

This has more to do with Duke than Fierdan, but... Does it even matter?

On New Year's, one of the things I was thinking of was that time I wrote a skit of Duke drinking a bottle of wine and then going to sleep drunk. 

Yes, I still think of Duke. I won't forget that boy. 

Well anyway. I did something like that on New Year's Eve and New Year's. 

I drank a lot of wine and went to bed drunk. 

And tequila. Different types of wine, by the way.

And I was thinking of Duke back then. 

So uh... yeah. Sure. Whatever. Lmao. 

Drunk Duke. I miss him.

Since I finally have both Fierdan and Duke in one post, I'll say it now.

I messed up. I totally forgot about it until way later.

I didn't make a post acknowledging their birthday. It's December 19th. 

So I guess I'll do an ages update. Kind of.

Story 1 ages for Duke and Fierdan:

Duke being 17 or 18 years old. Fierdan being 22 years old, turns 23 at some point in story 2. 

That's how I view them. That's how I see their ages. As that.

Seductive Singer Fierdan

 Hi. I spent the last few hours drawing a picture of Fierdan from that I dream I mentioned in the previous post. I started and finished a drawing, with coloring and a background, all in one day. 

Wow, look at me go. I impressed myself. :D

I had the urge to draw Fierdan in the specific outfit I had in mind. I just had to.

Yes. I imagined him wearing...:

Fishnet leggings. Short black shorts (what are they called, booty shorts? lol). I don't completely remember what he wore for his top, so I improvised 😏. I forgot if he wore a nearly see through T-shirt or crop top.. or a fishnet shirt. I decided to draw a fishnet shirt for him. What else? Oh yeah.. That. 😏

I have a thing again for imagining Fierdan wearing lingerie. I think he was wearing lingerie in my dream, but I forgot what it looked like. So I drew this lingerie top for him. At first, I tried drawing lace, but I quickly gave up on that, so now he's wearing... red straps? red leather straps? Do I know the words of things? Of course not. 

I also added a black spiked choker around his neck, and a red wristband that says "F*CK" around his right wrist. Why? Because.. it's a look. 

The outfit I gave Fierdan is a whole look.

I also imagined him singing on a concert stage with light purple stage lights. 

And since he's Fierdan, I felt like adding small orange and black flames around him. Fierdan showing his fire while performing at a concert... come on, he would totally do that. Well, when he doesn't have to hide from the general public for having pyrokinesis. 

Plus, Fierdan was very seductive in that dream I had. In what he was singing and what he was wearing. 

Fierdan out here trying to be sexy. 😳 Sexy Fierdan. 😏

Disaster Boys Celebrating Pride Month

 Hi, I haven't really been checking my blog much lately. So that's why it took me a while to reply to comments. It's because I haven't been checking here. But I'm here now. It's about time I made a new post.

I was thinking of posting this drawing last week. And then I didn't. 

Anyway, I'm posting it now. 

I don't know if I'm ready to vent on here again. I've been hesitating on getting all emotional on here lately. I'm not even sure why anymore.

So yeah. Uh......

I drew and colored a picture of Jack and Fierdan celebrating Pride Month. They're boyfriends at the time the drawing takes place. They're both in the LGBT+ community: Jack is gay, and Fierdan is bisexual.

I don't know why I colored their outfits the way I did. Fierdan looks so colorful, haha, that's cute. Plot twist: Fierdan actually likes colorful things. He still likes black though; of course he does.

Jack has part of his hair dyed a silvery white. The rest is dyed black. 

Jack has a tiny "x" tattoo underneath both his eyes.

The yellow and pink flowers are cute. I don't know if he got them as a gift from Jack or if he's going to give them to Jack. 

I made him wear a rainbow flag colored shirt and bi flag colored pants. Maybe this is Jack taking Fierdan to his first Pride Parade. Aww, that sounds sweet. :')

I felt like drawing a kiss scene with these guys. I think it's not too bad.

Jack x Fierdan pride celebration sketch + water blue boy

Yeah so that's what this post will be about. Hi again. It's me. :)

I wanted to write part 2 of that skit story this weekend, but then... well, shit happened. I didn't feel good physically and mentally. I don't want to talk about it right now. 

Anyway, June is almost over. How did that happen? I don't vibe with the passage of time. :( 

About the skit in the last post, yep. That's right. I ended up turning it into a scene that I could totally see happening between Fierdan (who goes by Danny then, not Fierdan) and Dylan towards the beginning of story 2. Notice what I wrote about C.? Well, haha, that's right. She's that powerful ass bitch. Oh and if anyone got confused about the Fierdan (Danny) touching Dylan part, Fierdan doesn't know that Dylan is trans, and he felt his binder which confused him. Danny boy, you're so oblivious, hahaha. He sees Dylan as a "kid" when he's really at least 18 years old. So Fierdan calling Dylan a "kid" just fueled the fire of his annoyance with him. 

*changes topics* So I was in the shower, and I suddenly got shower thoughts about drawing my characters celebrating pride month. Then a short while later, I started a sketch of Jack and Fierdan celebrating pride together.

"water blue boy" is Dylan. He's the character with the water Elemental Power. Not ice, water. Water. He is water blue boy. 

Anyway, I'll share some thoughts I have on him. :)

He is either 18 or 19 years old. He has light blue eyes that look like beautiful bodies of water. He has light blond hair that looks like it has tints of pale blue in certain lightings. Oh and he's white. And I think I'm leaning more towards having him be aro bi (aromantic bisexual). 

I also started planning a music playlist for Dylan in my Notes app. The list is short so far. I'm thinking of giving his playlist a more calming vibe than most of my other playlists. I feel like he would like indie music, haha. :')

I've actually been thinking about this character for a while, but I've been hesitant on revealing anything about him. Now I'm like "screw that, I'll do whatever I want" so here we are. 

By the way, I absolutely adore the relationship between Dylan and Stella (Twinkle). They eventually become close friends and help each other out with lots of stuff. Dylan helps Stella with the ice side of her ice-fire Elemental Power, which also helps Dylan grow more confident in his water abilities of his Elemental Power. Stella also ends up confiding in him a lot. She asks him about his journey to accepting his identity, and she admits that she's a questioning mess. By that I mean in terms of gender and sexuality. 

I know I haven't really dived that deep into what happens to Stella following story 1, but to sum it up, meeting Dylan happens. They're so cute. At first Dylan is grumpy and "hates" everyone new to his life, but eventually him and Stella become good friends. Oh gosh, I love them. :'D

Well, those are my updates on water blue boy. The more I find myself discovering more about him, the more I end up appreciating him. His thoughts and feelings might be unpopular, but he still has his right to them. 

In comparison, Jack is more like a boy full of love. Haha yeah, But Jack used to be a cynic, full of anger and wanting revenge. Heck, he roams streets alone, not wanting anyone to get too close to him physically and emotionally. Jack used to be so closed off. I think one of his lowest points was having an overdose on the drug he became addicted to. So yeah, he isn't all sunshine and rainbows. He's had his share of crappy life experiences. 

Oh, one more thing about Dylan. He can be very sarcastic. He just seems like the sarcastic type. The guy who loves sarcasm. Yeah, that's him.

Hi, I'm back. Can you believe it? That's incredible. 

Anyway, I had a dream that featured J___. He was in my dream, but he looked a little different. For some reason, he had an undercut and curly hair on top dyed blond. That's.. that's a look alright. You do you, buddy.

And the rest of his hair was very short and his original light brown hair color. He looks so different without his black hair. He dyes his hair black the most often. 

Seeing him with blond hair just feels weird. I guess my dream wanted me to see him with part of his hair being blond. Lmao ok @ my subconscious.

I knew it was J___. I just knew it was ja boi. I don't know how to explain it. I just knew it was him. 

Oh right. Uh, I guess I should say Jack. I'm talking about Jack. Jaysen. Ja boi. The jack. Yeah mhmm him.

Then when I finished coloring how I saw him in my dream, I decided to quickly draw him dressed up for Pride Month. Because it's June. And of course he has to celebrate. :)

I tried drawing Jack with two undercuts. He has his hair dyed black in the bottom one with his head shaved towards the bottom. I could've describe this better, but I don't want to rewrite anything.
