My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!

I'm typing this post up as I'm listening to the Battle Scars song on this Blog Playlist ("Battle Scars" by Paradise Fears).
The feels... c': <3
So in school today, I had this assembly. (No, it wasn't only about bullying- if any of you are wondering.)
And this poem here was spoken about several times throughout the assembly.
I just love the message of this short poem.
So...
What do you think of the poem?
How do you feel about it?
(Basically your thoughts on it...)
What do you take out of it?
(I had to answer these questions for class. And somehow connect it to the novel, as per usual. -sigh-)
Don't be that zebra.
(That was not meant to be random, actually.)
*thinks very hard* this is like a question in one of those "read this answer that" kind of stuff at school XD. But I think it means, "yeah, I've been hurt before. So what? If you start trying to make me not happy. Guess what? I don't care! I'm still in alive."
ReplyDeleteLol ya. XD
DeleteOh wait. I said that in the post.
I think it means that, too. ^.^
"You try to break me down, but no matter how many times and forcefully you do, I'm going to keep getting back up."
ReplyDelete-Gamer ;)
Wonderful interpretation of the quote! ^.^
