Got an A!

Hi guys. What's up? Just chillin'.... At the moment. Nah... XD

So... AJ is being really weird. And laggy. And just plain stupid. So you know what? I'm going to post about other stuff besides AJ. Ya.

I'm pretty happy. For like the first time ever, I don't have a ton of difficult B-day homework. So I don't have so much homework tonight. But then there's A-day homework. Ergh.

So... yay for me, I guess.? idk. (Not really, though.)

So anyways, back on topic!

I got an A on my Algebra1 test. On a test! :O :)

Wait. I bet you guys are probably thinking stuff like, "Meh. An A, whatever. That's nothing.". Well, well then! Time to do some explaining! (Oh my gosh, I'm making me feel so like old. ;-; XD).

But before that, if any of you guys don't know what I mean by an "A", that means a grade between 90% and 100%. Which are the highest grades possible to get. (Excluding extra credit. There's no extra credit on this test.). And so I got a 92%. c:

But wait. What's algebra? According to the Dictionary.com app on my school iPad, the definition of "algebra" is...:

(Ha. It's probably gonna confuse you guys so much. Especially if you're not even in middle school yet. XD): "The branch of mathematics that deals with general statements of relations, utilizing letters and other symbols to represent specific sets of numbers, values, vectors, etc., in the description of such relations."

Ha, told you! X3

So to sum that up, algebra is a type of math. That's pretty challenging. Ya.

And before I go on, let me tell you this. In algebra (my class for it, anyways; and not just for me either), it's extremely hard to get an A on tests. You guys don't even know. (Well.. except if you're like very good in math and/or is in accelerated math (1 up or 2 up). And I didn't get the lowest grade in my class! (If you haven't noticed until now, I'm pretty darn awful at this type of math.). It's just impossible for anyone to get a perfect 100% on tests in this class. (Well.. unless your like a math expert or something; even the smartest people in my class don't get perfect 100s.). And this is a test! Tests are way harder than quizzes, by the way.

So... Why am I so like happy at this? It's because I usually get Cs or Ds on math tests. And I got an A for this one. (If you're me, that is a huge accomplishment. I've never gotten an A on a test (I'm not including quizzes) for such a long time. Perhaps a few years.? .... I can't even begin to explain this. XD).

However, this test topic was on one of the easiest units, this year. In fact, I learned some of the stuff on it from last year. (Last year's math class was just crazy. Ok. Crazy. o.o). So... kinda a review unit? Maybe that's why I didn't get an awful grade? Hmm... Questions, questions.....

And I knew I was going to get a pretty good grade on this test because I confidently knew what we were learning (for once! c;). But I was kinda scared that I would get a grade like an 89 or something like that (it's a grade 1 number down from being an A; so a B). But I did get an A. (Yay! :D)

And what's even more "yay" is that I actually understand what we're learning in math now, too. (Shocker! ^o^)

The test was on stuff like this..:

Linear functions and graphs, Quadratic functions and graphs, Cubic functions and graphs, and Absolute Value functions and graphs.

Like I had to draw the graphs for all of them, make equations (y=x, y=x2, y=x3, y=|x|), and describe them (example: line, parabola, "s" curve, "v"). (The 2 is squared and the 3 is cubed, fyi.).

You guys are probably really confused by this. Am I right? ;O

But hey. This post might help you in future years when you have to take this type of math. (Well.. if you take algebra. idk. *shrugs*).

*reads over post ^^*

Wow, I've never been so thrilled to discuss my test grades in algebra before.. O.o

Ha! X3

This is beginning to be awkward.. o.e

Well... uh...

Stay in school, kids! ;)

~ Cutepups, who suddenly feels like this post is boring and educational. (OMG, that's like math class! :O).

Bye! :P

  1. Are you in 9th grade or 10th grade? I'm in 8th grade. I think you are at least in 9th grade because your math looks more advanced than
mine. And congrats on getting an A!

    1. Everybody's older than me! I'm in 7th grade. Cutepups is 2 years older than me, I'm pretty sure Gamer is 2 years older than me too. Then Ca is 1 year older. I swear to StarClan.

    2. Yep. I'm in 9th grade. (Freshman. :/)

      Oh. And thank you! :)

I think that Gamer's in 8th grade, actually. (I feel stalkerish.. just kidding!). XD

    3. WHY YOU STALK ME CUTEPUPS X3
      (Jk jk.)
Possibly. I just had my birthday a little bit ago, Mutant, so we may be 1 year apart ish
Oh oh yea, I'm in 8th grade, so yea x3

    4. Ok, so we are one year apart XD

  2. Never did algebra before but it looks hard o.O. Congrats! I get As in math a lot, like I could be a tutor if I wanted. But considering that you usually get lower marks, CONGRATS CONGRATS CONGRATS! And my stuff is way easier... Lol

  3. I'm in advanced class in math.. (Idk why x3) and I'm in Algebra.. I've been learning some of that stuff, I think. It takes me a while to understand it though, because I'm a little bit slow to grasp on things (everything in general.) congrats on the test.. I haven't gotten an A on a test in 500000 years x3 (for math at least.)

    1. But wouldn't you be smart and good at math if you're in an advanced math class?

And don't worry. That's me in math class, too. I usually fully understand a math topic a while after the test. So that's not really good! DX

      Thank you! :)

    2. I don't know why I'm in advanced class in Algebra X3 I think my parents wanted to 'challenge me' so they're like: just try it, you're smart!
      Uh-huh.
Same for me too I understand it a while after the test x3
      No problem! c:

    3. Oh.. For my schools, we had to take these standardized tests to see if we could go in accelerated math classes. Like you had to get a certain grade or higher to get into it. And if you wanted it, too. So you just can't get into an accelerated math class like the way you said. So ya.
