Late Night Driving (skit)

Ah yes, I'm here with another skit. :)

Continuing from the last one. I really liked that one, hehe.

Friday was a good day. Good school day; good season of a TV show I like. Yeah, I approve.

Eh, I'll mention stuff that's not related to the skits in another post.

But anyway, here's the skit for this post. Enjoy! <3

Playlist (all made by other people who aren't me):

(yeah)

[Date: March 1st. Time: 4:20 am. Location: Ryen's car. Fierdan is driving with Duke in the passenger seat. They're currently on a long, empty road.]

Duke: Huh, didn't know you drive. You're driving pretty good given the fact that it's four in the morning, and both of us hadn't been sleeping.
Fierdan: I'm always awake at this hour. Besides, everything is calmer outside. Nobody's out but us, so driving is easier.
Duke: Yeah.. uh.. I feel a little calmer, now that you mention it.
Fierdan: Glad to hear. *takes one hand off the steering wheel, holds a finger in front of the car music button*
Duke: Oh, I'm not in the mood to listen to any of your music right now.
Fierdan: Oh, you sure?
Duke: I don't want to hear any loud rock songs that'll only make us feel sad about ourselves.
Fierdan: Oh, I have a playlist that I listen to at 4 am.
Duke: *sighs* You downloaded music specifically for 4 am?
Fierdan: Yeah, and don't worry. The songs I have in order to play first are more calming than loud. I feel like they relate to you a lot more now, which is a weird coincidence.
Duke: Coinicidence, huh?
Fierdan: Listening to something is better than this awkward silence. *presses the music button and a few other buttons, then his special 4 am playlist (^^) starts playing*
Duke: Huh.. wow.
Fierdan: What?
Duke: I didn't expect you to listen to this kind of stuff.
Fierdan: Well, I do when it's 4 am and in the mood to listen to some music.
Duke: *looks at Fierdan suspiciously* Why is this song such a mood? We're going away from our new home in the middle of the night, and my dreams are convincing me that I'm still a monster.
Fierdan: *leans back in seat, has both hands on the wheel now* Coinicidences, huh?
Duke: Yeah... *looks out window*

[Several seconds of no-talking later]

Duke: So, where are we going exactly?
Fierdan: Thought you wanted to leave.
Duke: Yeah, but then I remembered I have school tomorrow.
Fierdan: You want to go back to school?
Duke: Well, yeah. If I don't, they'll be suspicious. We should head back before anyone else realizes we're gone.
Fierdan: We still have plenty of time before they'll wake up.
Duke: Are you sure?
Fierdan: Don't worry about it. Just get distracted by the song lyrics in an attempt to avoid thinking about your nightmares.
Duke: *leans back in seat* Fine. Happy?
Fierdan: *with small smile* What's happiness?
Duke: *sighs tiredly*
Fierdan: I'm kidding. Yeah, you could say I am.
Duke: You could've just said yes.
Fierdan: Then what's the fun in that?
Duke: Are we driving somewhere?
Fierdan: Right now? Oh, well, then no.
Duke: *is a little disappointed* Oh.
Fierdan: I know that you went with Ryen to meet certain people in my place, a few months back. I'm assuming he took you in this car. Right?
Duke: Yeah. Ryen told me I was better fit to meet them. You seem better now than back then though.
Fierdan: *sighs thoughtfully* Yeah, maybe so. Maybe we can both recover from the past world together.. and better than how we were trying before.
Duke: Hmm, maybe. The idea sounds nice.
Fierdan: Yeah, it does. *turns steering wheel, then the car is driving in the direction back where they came from*

[Date: March 1st. Time: 5:30 am. Location: House, right at the bottom of the staircase.]

Fierdan: You don't have to go to school if you're not feeling up for it.
Duke: *yawns* I'll consider it.
Fierdan: Try and get some sleep.
Duke: I'll try.
Fierdan: Okay. *pats Duke's shoukder*
Duke: *climbs the stairs*
. . . .
Ryen: Did you take Duke anywhere?
Fierdan: Nah, not this time.
Ryen: Ah, okay.
Fierdan: Being outside can be therapeutic. Did you know that?
Ryen: Yeah, and?
Fierdan: Driving is a good distraction.
Ryen: Considering how sleep deprived you both are, you're lucky you didn't crash the car. That you stole the keys of, by the way.
Fierdan: I'm not stupid. *puts hand in pocket, takes out car keys, gives them to Ryen* Here.
Ryen: *takes them from Fierdan* Thanks.

..............

Wow, I'm tired. Good night.
