Hi. It's midnight. Perfect time to post. :-)
Today is Monday. :-(
Anyway, I just read Twinkle's Story chapters 23 to 38.
And I didn't cringe as much as I did in the past when I read those chapters.
Congrats to me. Please clap.
Fierdan is so different in the 30s arc. Like geez. He was actually a creepy and evil character who intimidated people. And kissed people with no romantic intent.
That's when Soulless was possessing his mind and body.
Now look at him. Now he's a poor boy full of pain and regret.
That character development though.
I read the Flashback Chapters in the 20s arc. Duke and Twinkle. Their past.
Anyway.. I love them so much. Omg?
I kinda want to draw little kid Duke. What a cutie. I love him, I'm sorry.
Oh and I checked. It's true. I did write in a chapter that Duke was this shy kid. Ha, I was right. Um.. please clap.
Basically, Duke was this kid who was shy and pretty quiet. He would just hang out in the background in this group of popular kids at school. The only person in the group that he liked was Finny, and he tolerated Sparkle. He disliked everyone else. Especially Admiral. Duke hated her. One reason was because Finny dated her. The other reason happened later when Admiral kissed him without consent at school. Those two reasons will resurface in a future chapter. When Duke started hanging out with Twinkle, he opened up and could be more like himself without having to be quiet about it. Despite all that, he could be violent and heartless. Yeah, just look at Chapter 27. Shy but violent. Little Duke didn't hesitate when attacking his cousin and friend. He felt no remorse until much later, and he used his feelings of regret to hurt himself. Little to no hesitation. Of course that's not normal. What kid is like that? Ever since he was a little kid, Duke didn't fully have sympathy for others in pain. Ok guys, he lacks something. Because of Soulless being a part of him. Because of his past. He's angry at the world. His mother tried to break him for several years. She treated Duke like crap. And now she's being nice to him. What Duke went through in the past was not okay. It's messed up big time, dude. He can't bring himself to care about other people's pain, even if he hurt them. Their pain was nothing compared to the pain he went through. Duke's pains of abuse, knowing his three favorite family members died, losing his old friend called Daredevil, trying to confess his love to Finny but being rejected... realizing things, etc. Duke's life is crap. So he's angry at people. Their pain is nothing compared to the pain he went through. He feels nothing wrong about acting violent towards other people. Could his mother's abuse and later Fierdan and Soulless's abuse have a role? Hmm probably.
Haha yeah. Geez. That's Duke.
I also want to draw Duke setting a whole sea on fire. Got inspired to do that because of a comment. Hehe.
(Psst.. this is a Duke post. Dang it, Duke. XD)
Enough of tragic story Duke, onto some more lighthearted material!
Not too long ago, I made a silly post about Duke wearing a purple shirt, capri pants, sunglasses, and yellow flipflops.
Well, I had to draw him for this tumblr meme. So I drew him in that outfit (just imagine he's wearing yellow flipflops) in order to look like a stereotypical tourist visiting Hawaii. Well, Hawaii sounded like a stereotypical tourist destination to me.
I drew human Duke. This boy though. So silly. :3
In my drawing, Duke...:
- looks like a girl
- got sunburned
- no, danny (+ human fierdan and duke) isn't (aren't) actually racially white.
- looks like a complete fool
- has a shark tooth necklace on
- has a Hawaii shirt on
- has wristbands from a souvenir shop on both his wrists
I like the background. A little.
Haha. Duke. I love my tragedy boy OC. <3 :')
I also decided to work on those three main Duke looks I sketched not too long ago, so they would be colored drawings.
I'm hoping to continue the skit series soon.
Life is pretty busy for me now. And I feel stressed and overwhelmed often. I'm scared.
Are things okay? Yes. No. What does that question even mean?
Well, I'll end the post here. Bye.
