Working on Dynamic Poses (ex. one)

I said I would make another post today, so here I am. Here is another art post. :)

This time it's a wip. That I started today.

I added (ex. one) because I'm planning on drawing other characters in dynamic poses.

So here I drew another human Duke. (I love drawing him, sorry lmao.)

I got inspired to draw Duke setting a sea on fire because of a comment on dA.

About comments.. I feel like I have at most two viewers besides me who still view my blog. Where'd everyone go? It's lonely..

Well anyway, I thought of drawing Duke in a less boring pose I always draw him in. I wanted to do a pose like the one shown here for a long time now, but I was always unsatisfied with the result. I'm hoping this drawing won't be bad like previous attempts.

Because.. you know.. anatomy. Shading. Perspective.

In this case, I'll have trouble showing that his right hand is held up away from his body. It's in front of him.

But I'm bad at showing the perspective that there's distance between the hand and shirt. How do I shade?

Oh and his other hand is pointing down. Slightly curved as well. I tried to draw hands lol.

His left leg is supposed to be in a kick. I know I got to work on that. I'm bad at drawing feet lmao.

This fire boy is angry. So what does he do? Fly above a body of water and set it on fire, of course!

Oh and I had trouble deciding on how to draw Duke's hair again. If it should be down or tied up. You might be able to see my erased marks.

I still have to add in extra random hairs to show movement. Something like that. Because there's wind. And wind makes hair kinda messy. So yeah.

I don't know if it would look good to have the entire background be water set on fire. What to do, what to do..

Bye for now. More posts coming soon.
