aaaaahhh thelma bab-y

Or, in other words, my thoughts a few minutes ago. Here, have a post.

Thelma is my little punk tuxedo cat. That's who she is.

And...

Today on 2/2 two-two tutu day--

(wtf are you even saying, cpups?)

Sorry, I mean Groundhog Day.

Anyway, Thelma is my baby. Thank you very much.

Today is her birthday. My family chose to celebrate her birthday on February 2nd.

She's apparently 7 years old now.

My baby is 7! Aaaahhhh--

(ok pls calm down, cpups...)

Uh ok fine.

I'm creating this post on the website via my phone. I have a picture I never posted before that I would like to share.

It's a picture of Thelma I took the night before going back to college.

Psst, she's a baby.

Thelma! Sleepy kitty. ilysm. <3

Ignore everything else in the picture though. Ok thanks.

Thelma :)

Oh and I went to Target with friends today. That made me happy. I got stuff I wanted to get. That was nice.

Yes.

-------------------------------------

I'm trying to create the Duke and Fierdan playlist, but I can't decide on which song to have as the first one. I'm definitely overthinking this. Like.. why.

As a rough estimate, I'm guessing it's going to be at least 30 songs long. Probably longer. idk yet.

If doing that is a stupid childish thing, then I don't care at all. I'll do it. I swear I will.

Oh and I've been thinking. Duke really is his own person. Fierdan really is his own person.

They sure are their own people. That's just the facts, boys.

When I write anything they're in now, I swear they're writing themselves. It kinda feels as if I'm not creating them and deciding what happens to them. I mean of course I am since they're my own characters. But at the same time, it doesn't feel that way at all. Maybe it's because I can't relate to what they go through. I don't know. It's like they're writing themselves and making their own decisions. They're doing actions before I think of them. They are acting on their own. They're not mine. I don't control them anymore. Duke and Fierdan are alive. They are people. Duke and Fierdan are just out there doing whatever the heck they do. And I'm like, "stop that" and they're like, "f*ck you" with the censored beep and everything. I also think I'll always imagine Duke being older than me, even though his story age is 17. When I look back at my weird 2015 posts making fun of Duke, I now see him as being 17 then too. That would mean he was older than me back then. I also keep on picturing Fierdan as a young adult and Duke in his late teens. Fierdan is always an adult except he isn't. Anyway, their voices are canonically sexy. I have just decided and made it official. They don't have the same voice. They sound different. Their voices are both canonically sexy, don't let that fact slip away.

(umm what)

Happy birthday, Thelma! :D

AH she's just so adorable! <3

Haha, yeah. I totally get the whole "Characters writing themself" - the same thing happens with Ruby and Co. in my stories!
Like, I don't even have to try and come up with plots or conflict or anything now, I just let them do their thing and all of a sudden I find that they're barrow-rolling into a story at about a hundred miles per hour! It's great! XD

Ah cool! I heard that a similar thing happens to plenty of other writers as well, but when I realized it happened to me as well, I became a little shocked (lol). It doesn't really feel like I'm just writing words on a page to describe/talk about them; it's like.. wow idk how to phrase it, it's like they're their own people which makes them that developed as characters (? idk how else to describe it). Gosh, I love that thing about being a writer. :')
And maybe it has to do with the fact that I had plans for their parts of the story for nearly 2 years now, and I still haven't formerly written it down in story form yet, so I don't have to struggle thinking of conflicts as much as I used to. But at the same time, I could be writing something, and then I suddenly and unexpectedly have the characters (*cough* looking at you, Duke and Fierdan) create conflict that I didn't plan on having beforehand. Then I'm just staring at my phone or computer screen like, "well.. ok then" lol. It's pretty exhilarating in a way.
