(Duke is a) Bad Influence

Hey. 

So, I wrote another long paper for class. I bet my grade won't be as good on this one than on my last one. 

Ahh...

It was snowing last afternoon. There's snow on campus now. Or maybe the rain washed it away. I didn't check. 

Well anyway, I'm a disappoint. :') 

my mind: draw that fierdan's daughter concept you have! 

my mind: draw finny! 

my mind: draw taurel and/or risak! 

my mind: draw literally any other character besides duke. how about fierdan with soulless? 

my mind: cutepups, i swear if you draw him..-

me: oh sorry what? *suddenly starts sketching duke* 

my mind: are you.. are you serious? 

me: i'm drawing him pre-fire and all that. 

my mind: :/ :| ... fine. 

For the past two days, I've wanted to draw this new concept I made up of Fierdan having a daughter. And my drawing ideas of it are so cute and wholesome. Like omg I love them. 

Honestly, I've been thinking about a future AU for a short while now. I want to draw some of my characters at least 10 years in the future. 

(Fierdan having a daughter sounds like such a ridiculous concept though like wtf are you thinking, Cutepups, Fierdan is a problematic mess with so many issues, and you trust him to take care of a child?! Oh god bless your soul.) 

Ok but. It's adorable. He's so happy. She's so freaking cute. 

The only problem I have is I'm not sure if I should have 30-something year old Fierdan have long hair or short hair. I can't decide whether he would decide to grow out his hair in his early/mid-20s (he cuts it after leaving cincernum and story 1) and keep it long or if he would keep his hair short to not remind him of cincernum.

Sorry, I wanted to add a random picture so my sloppy Duke art won't be the first image in this post. 

So instead of sketching out any cute and wholesome Fierdan and daughter ideas, I decided to sketch Duke being anything but cute or wholesome. More like the opposite. 

Now for the info on my sloppy rushed art: 

• Duke is 16 years old. 

• His hair isn't completely dark and long, so his hair before then looks cryptic to me now. 

• TW: alcohol (!), self-harm (?). 

• I drew him in a light gray shirt and dark blue jeans. Duke wearing clothes that aren't all black or all red is a cryptic concept to me. 

• I just gave up on coloring the night sky. Sorry lmao.

• Duke looks so angry. He is an angry boy. 

• He's 16 in it (because I said so) which means this would happen a year (or more, depending on the months) before the events of story 1.

• Duke is a bad influence! (!!!) 

• Duke wearing blue is a cryptic concept to me, but I want to draw him in blue more often. Even though he never wears blue in the story. 

• Duke is sitting casually on the edge of the Tall Tower's roof. So what if several feet below the top of the Tall Tower is a nearby tall building that's short in comparison? He doesn't care. Heights don't scare him.

• Duke with short hair makes him look even angrier. Duke with short (no flowing hair at all) hair.. geez louise, he looks like a stereotypical boy. 

• Maybe Duke is angry because he wanted long, flowing hair all along. 

• I accidentally put too much red on his arms. I hastily colored over some of it though. Then I was like, "eh whatever, I'll leave it." It just adds onto the Bad Influence and Self Destruction mood of the drawing.

• Duke is casually sitting at the edge of a roof, looking angry as he drinks a bottle of beer. I wrote "BEER" on the bottle. It's beer. He's drinking it like it's no big deal. Maybe he did this several times already. Maybe. 

• What is anatomy? What are his arms? What are his hands? His butt looks funny. That bottle is poorly drawn too. 

• The hair is okay, I guess. But even then, it sucks because Duke doesn't have his long and completely dark hair yet. 

• Sixteen year old Duke is just out there on a tall building's roof in the middle of the night drinking beer he somehow managed to steal. Wow, what a guy. 

• I was thinking of drawing empty bottles behind him, but then I got lazy. 

• Damn it, Duke! >:/ 

Yeah uh, his hair goes through way too many changes. It's incredible. Look how short it used to be. His hair used to be so short. 

Why is the sky covering the building? I don't know, just roll with it. Logic, what's that? Nowhere in this cursed drawing, that's what. I mean where. (heck)

Well anyway, I'm just gonna sleep now and die when I wake up in the morning. I'm gonna die! 

Yeah sure, whatever, ok, cool.
