Finny is on the left looking slightly to his left. Duke is on the right looking completely forward. I'm thinking of this happening when they're both 16 but close to being 17. Finny is around a month younger than Duke, but he's taller. Finny and Duke are holding hands (aww, that's sweet). Finny is holding a microphone and also has a cap on. Duke is raising his left arm with his hand in a fist.
I like to think of Duke being generally short until he's 17. Before his teen years especially, Duke was a short kid. But then one day or something, he got a growth spurt and became taller.

They're both singing a rock song. Duke may also be screaming the lyrics (but in a way that it's also singing, y'know?). Finny doesn't really scream-sing (whatever it's called); he's just singing the lyrics.
I think as well as liking rock music, Duke and Fierdan would be fans of metalcore. (I just realized that's what that genre is called. asdfghjkl)
Anyway, I was looking at my art of the last time I drew Finny for reference. And I immediately laughed at it.

Why are Finny and Ardere leaning forward like that? Why is Ardere's neck stretched out like that? *zooms in on Duke's left shoulder and arm, laughs louder* What the heck! Oh my god! Duke's shoulder.. his arm! His freaking shoulder is dislocated. Who shrugs like that? What! His left arm is completely broken! When did that happen? *looks at their pants* Oh god, their crotches! *wheezes* Ardere's! Oh my god, I'm dead. Wait, hold on. Does Finny have no BDE (big dick energy)? Wait, I drew him wearing khakis for some reason. Finny has khakis. Dang, that's so iconic. Ardere being positioned like that is making me laugh so much. Duke has such a thin neck. Is he okay? Of course not, he's Duke. Duh! There aren't any pencil marks in his hair either. What a weirdo! Huh, why does Ardere remind me of Pikachu? Look how spiky his hair is! Oh geez, what is wrong with me?! *muffled laughter*
... wait hold on, guys. Does this mean my art is improving? Is this a sign?

Well, at least Finny and Ardere appear to be clearly concerned about Duke.
Like, "Uh, Duke, are you okay? Your shoulder is dislocated and your entire arm is obviously broken. We know you were upset at Fierdan for not killing you again. We don't want you to die."

Finny: *walks over to them* What Ardere is trying to say is...
Duke: *faces Finny* Say what?
Finny: ... we know something's off. If what happened back then is causing you significant distress, then we can--
Duke: *frowns* Do what? Send me away?
Finny: What? No, no, no. Why would we do that?
Duke: *shrugs* I don't know. Maybe it's because I got so pissed off that Fierdan couldn't kill me the other day? Maybe it's because my sleeping has gotten even worse? Maybe it's because I don't know where I'll be in a year from now, or if it's even worth attending college? *shrugs again* I don't know, I'm just throwing ideas out there.
Ardere: We don't want you to leave, Duke. You're a cool guy.
Duke: No, I'm not. I'm the most easily heated bastard out there. I'm not cool.
Ardere: Yeah, you are.
Duke: *shakes head* I'm not cool, Ardere. After what I let happen to you, I really don't get how you can still tolerate me.
Ardere: You're a good person, that's why.
Duke: No, I'm not! I watched you get killed; I let you get killed like that. Fierdan says I'm not even fully human and I'll never be, and I know he's telling the truth. That's why I deserve to die! Do you understand? *looks desperately from Ardere to Finny*
Wait! I love this skit arc! It's the one about Twinkle's birthday. Aaahhhh!!
